Jealousy! I am envying my sister lately! I visited her last weekend to convert her basement into her scrapbooking studio... I want one... but I don't have a basement.
:-(
Anyways; we also worked on completing the invitations for my mother's wedding this summer.

From My Heart To Yours: The Challenge
Well this week on the Heart To Heart blog the challenge is all about Home Decor. My family are big into motocross, so I made these clipboard for my boys years ago now to showcase their latest artwork. I'm not sure if it's with CTMH, the name is cut out in the CTMH adhesive backed vellum that is now discontinued. Boo!! Now before you get all excited about my mad drawing skills, I found this drawn image on google and printed it on a sheet of acetate. So here are some pictures.

Scrapbooking Weekend... How I Wished You Were A Scrapbooking Week
Twice a year I host a scrapbooking weekend as a fundraiser for the Zella Community Association.
This time we where 13 women. I shared my table with my two best friend and my sister.
I love these amazingly creative women. I didn't accomplish quite as much as I would have like but it's tricky to do so when you are also the host. But what I did accomplished I am pleased with. Here is my artwork.
Now looking forward to the next one.
These weekends are always a lot of work. The packing, the food prepping, the setting up. But what a GREAT time. By the end of the second day, I always wish we where having and Scrapbooking week... I could handle 7 days of been with great women, enjoying a great hobby with great food. Alas all good things must come to an end.

Colour Combo H2H Challenge
At Heart 2 Heart as a colour challenge this week. The selected colours are Gypsy, Creme Brulee, and Black. Once again, although my cardstock collection is growing every month, I did not have Creme Brulee cardstock. So I made my own. PS I like to cut my foams into 6 and then I staple a 1 1/4" circle marked with the colour ink the sponge will be for. That way my colours never become a blended mess on the sponge, and I don't have to worry about cleaning them.
I created two cards for this challenge, mostly since I was hosting a fundraiser scrapbooking weekend for the Zella Community Hall, I had a lot of scrapping time. What a blast!!! View my next post if you want to see the other projects I created there.
Here is card number one.
And Card number two:
Okay so now that my entry for the challenge is in, and the scrapbooking weekend is done; I'm going to bed.

Planning and Scheduling
My schedule for this week started out great! Monday was a holiday, Tuesday I worked, Wednesday to Friday were going to be off days and work Saturday. Sounds great!! But as it turned out, to help cover for a girl who quit at work, I ended up working Thursday and Friday. And on Monday I was asked to get a guestbook ready for a wedding shower on Saturday. Right, no problem. Juggle two young boys, work, meal making, scrapbook workshop evening, Hall decorating, and now guestbook making.
So are you organized if you get everything done but felt like you where two steps behind the whole time??
In the end, I got this little project done and I am pleased with the outcome.
Here is the list of material/tools used:
Ink: Lagoon Z2195
Sunflower Z2150
Creme Brulee Z2167
Chocolate Z2111
Stamps: Two-Step Background D1473
Rosy Regards B1369
Dreams Come True D1470
My Creation 3-Ring Binder Z1141
I then cut out my interior pages from white daisy cardstock (5" by 7 1/2"). I stamped the outline of the rose unto a post it note and cut it out. I used it as a mask and then stamped my border from the Dreams Come True stamp set. I then stamped the rose with sunflower in the masked off area. I like the look so much at that point I decided to forgo the rose's outline on the pages.

I based my colours from the decoration, which was based from the colours selected for the wedding. That combination works very well. I stamped the rose in Sunflower and stamp the outline in Creme Brulee. I stamped the leaves in Lagoon on Crystal Blue cardstock, and stamped the background in Lagoon on Crystal Blue cardstock.

Assemble the whole thing together and you end up with a lovely Guestbook for a wedding shower.
BRRRRR Its Cold In Here
Hello again, I was getting worried that I wouldn't have time for this weeks challenge. However I used this weeks workshop night to complete it. This week the challenge with Heart 2 Heart is all about the COLD. Well I've been thinking about it and when I think of cold... I don't see myself in it. That is when I stay in I add extra layers... Blanket, Book and a nice cup of Cocoa. So here is my card... it is not "cold" but that was my "loose" interpretation.
Once again I apologize for the poor quality pictures these where taken with my phone. I got my order this week and I bought the clear cards. I love seeing them used in challenge and I really wanted to have my turn at it. I worried about the adhesive to use. But I ended up using my tom bow anyways and the results are crystal clear.. LOL I crack myself up sometimes... get it.. Crystal Clear.. Anyways moving on.
I used the Miracle level 2 paper pack and the Crystal Blue cardstock and ink, Chocolate ink, and the A Sip stamp set all from CTMH.
I also got to play with the Craft borders (I can already tell these will become a favorite of mine). And I added some bling with the glitter glue.
And voila!!! Before I end this blog I want to take the time the thank my friend and neighbour Ingrid who has so graciously open her home for the CTMH Workshop Group when the hall where we normally meet as had an unfortunate flood that killed the furnace. Again Ingrid, THANK YOU!!!

♥ felt - a heart 2 heart challenge
This week on heart to heart we are showing out hearts. With valentines day opening the challenge h2h wants to see hearts in our projects. Here is what I came up with.
Right away I knew I wanted to do a heart petal flower. I inked the large polka-dot heart from the C1441 Affection stamp set in Tulip ink (Z2166) rock-n-rolled in Black ink (Z2105). I cut out four hearts, a stem, and a small heart.
At this point I still really didn't know how I wanted me card to look excepted for the big flower so I turned to one of my "bibles" Wishes (9033) and selected the Bulls eye pattern on page 33.
My sentiment is stamped using a discontinued alphabet stamp set that I got on the Plenty for Twenty promotion. So VOILA!!!! My card!
My base card is in Black cardstock (1386) and I used Tulip cardstock (X5753) and the Sweetheart Level 2 (X7134B) for the B&T paper.
